The perfect summer brunch - inspired by the Oahu Collection

To properly introduce our new Oahu Collection, we hosted a fabulous summer brunch with Flo and Amelie, including a pool, lots of fresh fruit and fun. If these impressions inspire you to host a summer brunch for your friends, here are some ideas to make your brunch event even more memorable.

Summer brunch essentials:

  • Fresh fruits should always be a big part of a summer brunch. Not only are they delicious, but they also add color to your surroundings. Strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, pineapple, grapes or kiwis - we could go on and on. Get whatever you like, arrange it on a plate or make a fruit salad. Another plus for a summer brunch: So many fruits are in season, delicious!
  • Want even more tropical vibes? Serve the fruit salad or homemade granola in coconut shells!

    • Natural materials are always a good idea. Wooden boards and woven placemats create a beautiful base for your decorations. Combine flowers, greenery and your favorite tableware and voilà, you're ready for brunch!
    • Coffee, tea or juices are essential - but let's add something extra, how about a nice and refreshing summer drink? Here's something super easy that you can prepare in advance. All you need is:
    • 1l boiling water
    • 8 bags of hibiscus tea
    • 100g honey ice cubes
    • 500ml carbonated mineral water
    • A handful of mint leaves
    • A large carafe
Mix boiling water, tea bags and honey in a large carafe and let steep for 30 to 60 minutes - depending on how strong you like it.

Remove the tea bags. Add ice cubes and stir in the mineral water. Add mint leaves and refrigerate for about an hour. Now you can serve it and enjoy!

    • Tip for hot days: Freshen up your drink by putting blueberries or raspberries in an ice cube tray, fill with water and freeze. Add the fruity ice cubes to your drink and together with bamboo or colorful glass straws you will get additional summer feelings.

    • Last but not least: Wear your favorite summer outfit and give your look some aloha vibes with PURELEI jewelry!

No matter whether you're having brunch in your garden, on your balcony or inside your apartment or house, don't forget: the most important component for a perfect summer brunch is the people you spend time with. So don't worry too much, just have fun and enjoy the time together!

Now it's your turn: What are your must-haves for brunch? Tell us all about it in the comments!

    Kind regards,

    Chiara
